Sauna World Aquapalace

The Sauna World at Aquapalace Prague is divided into classic Finnish saunas, Roman baths, and an outdoor section. Each area is different, but all provide detoxification of the body through the effect of heat on the skin and the removal of harmful substances. Regular sauna use helps firm the skin, improves blood circulation, and increases the body's resistance to colds. At Sauna World Aquapalace Praha you can care for your health and beauty year-round through the many saunas and baths available.

Effective cooling goes hand in hand with sauna use, for which special showers and cooling pools are provided. After cooling down, it is time to relax on loungers, rest benches, or in the whirlpools.

Finnish Saunas

The foundation of healthy and effective sauna use is choosing the right temperature and humidity. The Finnish saunas, with temperatures ranging from 60°C to 110°C (140°F–230°F), are located both inside the complex and in the outdoor zone, with relative humidity of 10%–30% and a recommended stay of a few minutes up to a maximum of 20 minutes. After the sauna, a gradual and pleasant cool-down is recommended — under cold showers, in the ice-chip well, or in a classic cooling pool — followed by relaxation in the relaxation room or on the outdoor rooftop terrace.

Roman Baths

The Roman baths offer relaxation in Turkish-style steam cabins, where air temperature ranges from 26°C to 65°C (79°F–149°F) with relative humidity of 35%–100% and a recommended stay of 25–30 minutes.

The Roman baths are also a popular destination for their traditional warm pools with ionized water at around 30°C (86°F). An original feature of classic Roman baths is the ceiling design — ours is glass, and looking up at it evokes not only feelings of relaxation but also a range of moods and emotions.

Cooling in the Roman baths is provided by cold massage and aromatic showers with tropical or storm rain, or cold mist.

Outdoor Saunas

The outdoor section of the Sauna World features two unique saunas — the Log Cabin Sauna and the Earth Pit Sauna — with temperatures of around 70–95°C (158°F–203°F) and a recommended stay of 10–15 minutes. Open-air sauna use is complemented by a cooling pool, shower, relaxation terrace with loungers, and a whirlpool, together creating an authentic Nordic experience. The Zen Sauna on the roof of the Japanese section provides a calm space for meditation and mental stillness, complemented by soft music and dimmed evening lighting.

The Log Cabin Sauna is built from Lapland kelo pine, which matures over centuries into silvery, aromatic wood with excellent insulating properties. This is our largest ceremonial sauna, where experiential programs take place every day. An elaborate sound system and variable lighting create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Themed ceremonies and special sauna theatre performances led by professional sauna masters are held here regularly.

The Earth Pit Sauna is set into the ground and draws on the tradition of Slavic natural saunas dating back to the 11th century. Thanks to the earth insulation, it maintains exceptional thermal consistency and over the years has absorbed the scents of herbs, herbal infusions, and traditional whisks. Only natural materials are used in this sauna, creating a magical, deeply relaxing space permeated by the power of nature.

Sauna ceremonies in the outdoor saunas intensify the warming of the body and enhance the positive effects of sauna use. Aromatic essences, natural preparations, steam work, and the special techniques of the sauna masters elevate the experience into a unique ritual that awakens all the senses.

The Zen Sauna on the roof of the Japanese section offers a tranquil setting with views into the garden through glass walls. It is designed as a space for meditation and calm, complemented by soft music and dimmed evening lighting. It promotes inner balance, relaxation, and a clear mind in a Japan-inspired environment.
